Stainless Steel On-Demand Demo

In this demo, you'll see the Spool Welding Robot (SWR) in action as it welds a 6" schedule 40 stainless steel pipe. The video takes you step by step through the entire process, showing you how the SWR helps increase productivity, ensure high-quality welds, and simplify operations for your team.

Why You Should Join Our Demo

  1. Significant Productivity Gains: Stainless steel welding requires precision, and the SWR delivers. Watch how it enables a massive increase in welding output, achieving between 569 and 998 Factored Diameter Inches (FDI) per shift—compared to the industry average of 60-80 FDI in typical fabrication shops.
  2. Consistently High Weld Quality: With less than 1% repair rates, the SWR ensures that each weld is strong and meets high industry standards. The demo showcases the precision of the root-to-cap welding process, providing a close-up view of the finished weld on stainless steel.
  3. Easy Setup and Operation: See how the SWR’s setup time is under 3 minutes, and how operators can easily move between positioners, change torch options, and switch between recipes for different diameters and thicknesses. You’ll get a detailed walk-through of the SWR’s components, including the HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and pneumatic manipulator, which makes transitioning between tasks seamless.
  4. Compact and Efficient Design: The SWR’s 4’x4’ footprint ensures that it fits well in any workspace while maximizing welding efficiency. This demo will highlight how you can achieve higher productivity without sacrificing valuable floor space.
Our old way of welding stainless would be to TIG weld with using an ID purge. A 16” schedule 10 weld would take 2-1/2 hours or so to get a purge set up and then weld out. With the SWR, we now can do a 16” schedule 10 weld in 12- minutes that will pass RT.
